I cut my consulting teeth working at a Halifax advertising and public relations agency. During my six years there I thrived on the variety that came with having different clients in different industries all needing different things from me. I vowed then to always be a consultant. To this day the constant shifting and learning is what excites me!
Along with managing my independent consultancy I’m also aligned with The Well, a collection of experienced full-time freelancers.
Where I’ve been…
I have worked for companies and not-for-profit organizations across a variety of sectors, including business development, health, energy, energy efficiency, telecommunications, forestry, education and retail.
I hold a Bachelor of Public Relations (Cooperative Education option), a Marketing certificate and a Business Administration certificate from Mount Saint Vincent University.
Before starting my own company, I was an Event Manager at Agenda Managers and an Account Executive/Public Affairs Associate at Colour (CCL).
On a personal note…
I enjoy spending quality time with my two growing boys (one is already taller than me) and husband and checking things off my bucket list.
I am an avid volunteer dedicating hundreds of hours to organizations such as GIVETOLIVE, The Alzheimer Society of Nova Scotia, East Hants & Districts Chamber of Commerce, HEART Society, Nova Scotia Music Week, and East Hants Relay for Life.
I am a member of the Meeting Professionals International (MPI) Atlantic Canada Chapter, Centre for Women in Business, East Hants Chamber of Commerce, and 100 Women Who Care East Hants.
